Woman and Her 2 Children Found Dead Inside Munirka Village Flat

Murder-suicide suspected...

On Sunday in Munirka village, southwest Delhi, a 27-year-old woman and her two children, aged 4 and 2.5 years, were found dead in their apartment.

The police believe it might be a murder-suicide case because they found cuts on the wrists of the victims.

The woman, originally from Moradabad, got married in 2017. Her husband works as a constable with the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). The incident occurred while her husband was away in Moradabad for religious purposes, according to the police.

Neighbors grew concerned when the woman and her children didn't appear in the building's common area as they usually did in the morning. They knocked on her door several times but received no response, so they became suspicious and called the police (PCR) at 10:30 am on Sunday.

The local police arrived at the scene and noticed the locked door. They then contacted the fire department, who used their tools to forcefully open the door.

The officer stated that all three victims were found lying on the floor in a pool of blood.

The police mentioned that they were taken to a hospital but sadly, doctors declared them dead upon arrival.

The Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) and crime teams were summoned, and they discovered a blade at the scene which may have been used to cut the wrists.

The police reported that they didn't find a suicide note, and they are investigating whether the woman might have been dealing with depression due to domestic problems.

The officer added, "We haven't discovered any signs of a struggle inside. While we're exploring other possibilities, our primary suspicion is that the woman might have harmed her children and taken her own life. We're awaiting the postmortem report for more information."

The police mentioned that the inquest proceedings will be conducted by the sub-divisional magistrate.
