Woman Jumps from 16th Floor in Greater Noida

A 33-year-old woman reportedly leaped to her death, holding her six-month-old daughter, from the 16th floor of her apartment in Greater Noida, as stated by the police today.

 

The police mentioned that the woman, who was unwell and struggling with depression, took her own life.

 

The occurrence occurred late on Tuesday night in a group housing society in Greater Noida West.

 

A police spokesperson mentioned, "The woman resided with her family in the society. Her brother notified the police about her illness and ongoing struggle with depression."

 

The local police station is conducting additional legal proceedings in the case, as stated by the official.

 

Mental health experts assert that suicides can be preventable if those closest, such as parents, siblings, spouses, or friends, identify behavioural changes and engage in conversations to support the individual's self-esteem and well-being.
