Kovalam police is searching for the men involved in the murder....

Chennai: A 39-year-old woman killed her boyfriend, and chopped his body into pieces and buried the body in Kovalam on the outskirts of Chennai. 

Woman arrested for allegedly killing his former lover, who went missing in March. Woman who is a sex worker, a man helped her to commit the murder, according to the police.

The victim has been identified as M Jeyanthan, lived with his sister's family near Nanganallur in Chennai, he was a ground staff with a private airlines at the Chennai international airport.

Victim's sister filed a missing complaint of Jeyanthan, since March 18 in the Pazhavanthangal police station and his mobile phone was also switched off. On March 20 the police registered the FIR and start looking for him.

According to the officials, “Jeyanthan had gone to Pudukkotai to meet G Bakkiyalakshmi. We have the call recordings and other evidence which proves that they both were in a relationship”.

When questioned her about Jeyanthan murder, she gave contradictory statements and later confessed about his killing. Bakkiyalakshmi is a sex worker and Jeyanthan was her customer.

She confessed she got married to him years ago in a temple and then got separated.

"It is not known whether Jeyanthan’s family knew about their relationship,” a senior official involved in the investigation said.

The woman accepted for murdering him on March 18 when Jeyanthan went to Pudukkotai to meet her, with the help of another person. She also claimed that she butchered the body, packed them in a plastic bag, and brought the severed pieces to Kovalam and dumped them. We are yet to get the full details. The Pudukkotai police are also carrying out a further inquiry on this,” the official added.

The body parts are identifying by the Kovalam police and also searching for the men involved in the murder.
