Woman Missing for 2 Weeks in South Delhi

Decomposed Body Found in Her Flat

The decomposed body of a 30-year-old woman who had been missing for approximately two weeks was discovered at her rented residence in Malviya Nagar, South Delhi, on Friday. As of now, a murder case has not been filed.

According to the police, both the woman's landlord and neighbors had raised concerns, stating that they hadn't seen her for 10-15 days. Additionally, they reported a foul smell coming from her locked apartment.

Upon receiving the call, a police team arrived and consulted with the landlord, who informed them that a 30-year-old woman named Sania Rai had been residing in the Malviya Nagar apartment since last year.

DCP (South) Chandan Chowdhary stated, "Her Aadhaar card details indicate she was a resident of East of Kailash. Upon opening the flat in the presence of the owner and neighbors, we discovered her decomposed body."

The DCP mentioned, "No external injuries were observed due to the advanced state of decomposition. A crime team inspected the scene, and the body has been sent to the mortuary at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS)."

The police are still figuring out if the woman's death was natural, a result of self-harm, or possibly a case of murder.
