Woman's Body Found Near School in West Delhi

"Limbs Tied, Investigation Underway"


Officers in West Delhi announced on Friday that they had found the lifeless body of a woman in her 30s, showing signs of burn injuries and her limbs restrained with a chain, near a local school.

 

DCP (West) Vichitra Veer mentioned that they received a PCR call reporting the discovery of a body near an MCD school wall. The DCP stated that based on the initial circumstances, it seems to be a murder case, and they have called in forensic and crime teams to investigate the scene.

 

The DCP added that the woman's hands and legs were bound with a chain, and according to CCTV footage, it appears that she was left there by a vehicle.

 

An officer mentioned, "The accused covered her with a plastic sheet before fleeing the spot. The woman seems to have been killed approximately two days ago, and we are working to determine her identity and the precise time of her death. In addition to the burn marks, some injury marks have also been observed."

 

A case of murder has been officially filed, and the authorities are currently making efforts to identify the individual responsible, according to the officers.
