Women Take Out 'Pink Rally' In UP's Varanasi For Awareness On Voting Right

Ahead of the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, the assembly elections will be conducted in seven Phases in the Uttar Pradesh state. So far, the state has completed voting in four phases and the three phases will go for polling. 



On Thursday a group of teachers in Varanasi were seen coming out to aware locals and women to make them vote ahead of the assembly fifth phase of the polls which and the voting will fall on February 27.



A group of teachers of the entire district took out a Pink scooty rally, where all the women were seen dressed in pink dress code with pink scooty and were seen trying to aware people vote in large numbers. Also, the women were mainly focused more so that they come out to vote.



According to the information, the scooty rally, which started from the police line crossroads in Varanasi, ended at the same point covering about 10 kilometers.



According to the statement given to ANI, one of the teachers, while speaking to ANI said, "It is seen that women voters generally cast their votes in fewer numbers. So with this rally, we want to motivate women to come out and vote."



The seven-phase assembly election's fifth phase is all gearing up, while the rest three will take place on February 27, March 3, and 7, and the counting of votes will take place on March 10.



Ahead of the assembly polls many leaders and political party members are campaigning, door-to-door visits, and holding rallies to make their party come into power.
