Wonder Women Duo to reteam for the historic drama ‘Cleopatra’

Gal Gadot and Patty Jenkins are once again collaborating this time to depict time-memorial Queen of Egypt Cleopatra


Clearing all the long awaited buzz, a confirmed announcement ratifying that Wonder Woman’s duo- director Patty Jenkins and lead Gal Gadot are coming back together for another gear up drama. Through the confirmed sources, the duo would be reteaming for Cleopatra, tale of a courage’s Queen that would be a historic biopic along the working of Paramount Pictures.

The script would be penned down by the famous Laeta Kalogridis in working with Charles Roven who is from Atlas Entertainment. Starring Gadot and production in handy with the couple Gadot and Yaron Varsano of Pilot Wave Motion Pictures banner production. And the visionary director here would be Patty Jenkins.

Gadot will be playing Cleopatra, the Queen of Egypt role made eminent by Elizabeth Taylor in the 1963 classic also named “Cleopatra”.

As the wave hit every fan of wonder women Gal Gadot broke the silence and went to her twitter and tweeted "I love embarking on new journeys, I love the excitement of new projects, the thrill of bringing new stories to life. Cleopatra is a story I wanted to tell for a very long time. Can’t be more grateful about this A team,"

Wonder Woman, solely women centric action film which got entitled with the highest-grossing live-action film directed by a female director which received world’s attention till date, was the source expected to produce more opportunities for female creative talent.

This project idea was of Gadot enterprises only and it was made possible by Pilot Wave Motion Pictures, which landed with Paramount Pictures after a long studio auction. Jenkins and Gadot recently completed work on Wonder Woman 1984 for which they received a great critical appreciation, and this made Gadot re-enacting her role as the woman warrior this time with a twist of plot.
