On November 14th World Diabetes Day observed aims to raise global awareness about diabetes. Initiated by the International Diabetes Federation and the World Health Organization, it shows the importance of diabetes prevention, treatment, and care. The day serves to educate and advocate for better access to healthcare, medication, and support for those affected by diabetes worldwide. 

 

Through campaigns, events, and activities, it seeks to address the growing concerns around diabetes, promoting a healthier future and reducing the impact of this chronic condition on individuals and communities globally. 

 

However excessive sugar intake can impact blood glucose levels, various factors contribute to diabetes. Genetics, lifestyle, obesity, and lack of physical activity also play significant roles in diabetes development.

 

Carbohydrates affect blood sugar, but they're an essential part of a balanced diet. Monitoring portion sizes and choosing healthier carbohydrates like whole grains, fruits, and vegetables is crucial.

 

Insulin is a common treatment for diabetes but isn't exclusively for advanced stages. Many people with diabetes, including those with type 2, might need insulin at various stages to manage their condition effectively.

 

Some dietary changes and lifestyle adjustments are necessary, living with diabetes doesn't mean a complete loss of quality of life. With proper management, individuals can lead fulfilling and active lives.
