World Immunization Week 2024

Date, Theme, History, and 5 Most Important Vaccines

World Immunization Week (WIW) marks a global health initiative typically held from April 24 to 30. Its aim is to boost vaccination rates and protect individuals of all ages from infectious diseases. The extensive immunization efforts throughout the latter half of the twentieth century stand as some of humanity's most remarkable accomplishments. These campaigns have led to the eradication of smallpox, the defeat of polio, and ensured that a greater number of children survive and lead healthy lives.
