World's top 10 richest billionaires in 2023

Mukesh Ambani holds the 9th position...

Elon Musk's position on Forbes' list of the world's richest billionaires has slipped to number 2 following his acquisition of 'X.' The report reveals a total of 2,640 billionaires, which is 28 fewer than in 2022.

Forbes just released its 37th annual billionaires ranking, and Bernard Jean Étienne Arnault from France is at the very top. He's incredibly rich, with a whopping $211 billion! He's the only person on the list with more than $200 billion, and he's in charge of the biggest luxury goods company in the world, 'LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton.'

In second place, we've got Tesla's boss, Elon Musk. He's pretty rich too, with a big pile of $180 billion. And don't forget about Indian business big shot Mukesh Ambani, who's in the top 10 too, sitting at the 9th spot with a tidy sum of $83.4 billion.

According to Forbes, almost half of the billionaires now have less money than they did a year ago. They blame things like falling stock prices, struggling tech startups, and higher interest rates for this. The total number of billionaires in the world has also gone down a bit, from 2,668 in 2022 to 2,640 now.

Some other really rich folks in the top 10 list are Jeff Bezos from Amazon, Larry Ellison from Oracle, Warren Buffett, and Bill Gates. They've got a ton of money too.
