Yellow Alert In Gujarat, To Experience Severe Heat Waves

IMD Issues Alert!


The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issues a yellow alert for heat waves in Gujarat. 

With the arrival of the summer season, few states including Gujarat, National capital, and a few more witness extreme scorching heat.



According to the information, Due to the heat wave, there has been a record-breaking increase in summer temperature. In Gujarat, the temperature has crossed the 40 degrees Celsius mark in 10 cities.



The information also stated that for the first time in 20 years, a record-breaking 41.5 degrees Celsius temperature was recorded by March 15 in Ahmedabad. In Surendranagar, the maximum temperature recorded was 41.7 degrees Celsius.



According to the statement given by Manorama Mohanty, director of the Meteorological Department, Gujarat. Said,"

There may be an increase in summer temperatures in Gujarat for the next few days."



Further said, “A heatwave warning has been issued in Gujarat. Heat wave conditions are likely to prevail over Saurashtra and Kutch region for the next 24 hours and in North Gujarat for the next 48 hours. After 2 days, the heat wave will subside but the temperature will remain high”. 



The Indian meteorological also stated that the prevailing heat wave in the state will witness the same Weather condition for the next two consecutive days. 



With the arrival of summer, there's also a change in temperature level. Sudden heat and heat waves are also leading to other health illnesses. Whereas the Gujarat state recorded a record-breaking situation in terms of temperature level this year.
