"Yes!! Indeed With Hardship Is The Ease, Indeed Hardship Is Eased": Usman Gani Hussian

22-years old Usman who runs a recruiting company throughout GCC...

Times Magazine India shares an inspiring story of a 22-year-old Usman Gani Hussain, who recently received an award from Saudi Arabia's Royal Highness Prince Ayman Ali Bin Saud for his exemplary work with a collaboration of the Ministry of Human Resource Development Saudi Arabia.

While interviewing the enthusiastic young Indian Usman who runs a recruiting company throughout the GCC, we understand the rule of hope and zeal towards work.

Listing the various questions of the interview, we asked.

Being 22 years old, we would like to know about your past qualifications and s well as the idea of pursuing a business?

Mr. Usman gave an overview of his journey, being good at academics and co-curricular activities, despite of that he was able to graduate till class 9th due to some personal issues.

While having faith in himself of achieving success in future, he decided to put his hands into the family business. The company received its first recruitment licence from the ministry of foreign affairs (India) in 1973.

During 2014-17, the company suffered a crisis as Mr. Usman's father was diagnosed with paralysed. Although, in these tough days the Hussian (including Mr. Usman) brothers rebuild the trust within the GCC again.

Your company works with the Ministry of Human Resource Development in Saudi Arabia. We would like to know how it was possible to get involved with the Govt.

Working with the Ministry itself was possible for us because of a few things and I think it all lead to one another and paved the way for us.

To approach the Ministry, the company started working with contracting companies in Saudi Arabia and provided them with human resources for their respective projects at the start.

Completing the requirements before the quoted time in the contract made the Ministries with which the contracting companies were working curious about the agency that provided them with human resources. The ideology helped Mr. Usman's company to strengthen links with the Ministries of Saudi Arabia.

Taking notes from your company's workflow which works throughout the GCC, we want to know how you planned to expand your business.

Initially, the company started in Saudi Arabia.

"It was inevitable not to expand further into GCC. At times, the company is recommended by our clients to other companies in GCC to work as recruitment counterparts of their respective companies. So that's how we established ourselves in other nations as well in GCC and The Indian Subcontinent as well," he said.

Recently, you received an award from His Royal Highness Prince Ayman Ali Bin Saud. We request that you share your experience and what was that award for...

Mr. Usman remembers it as a funny story, he said...

"Earlier, I received three calls from an unknown number, I didn't know that it came from the Ministry itself. Afterwards, we (Hussian Brothers) received an email in which our company was invited to the MINISTRY OF HUMAN RESOURCES DEVELOPMENT Head office and HIS ROYAL HIGHNESS PRINCE AYMAN ALI SAUD also gave his presence."

His highness invited Mr. Usman with the most humble smile and presented me with an award, he said.

Moreover, Mr. Usman was glad to share as the company invited the first-ever foreign spectatorial members of the Ministry of Human Resources Development assembly for 2023-24.

Do you think that social media helped you to enhance or establish your business?

Replying to this note, he was not in the support of social media when it comes to enhancing his business. Leading a recruitment company, the firm targets print media more than social media to attract employees and resources.

He considers social media as a medium as just a way to communicate with a group of people segregate into. Although, he doesn't denounce other businesses thriving well because of social media.

Running a recruitment company, have you initiated a scheme that helped for the betterment of the employees.

Yes!! Our company is working on a scheme: YUSRAN SCHEME, he said. The company works with the Saudi high consulate in Mumbai to establish an NGO that will work as a portal for Foreign Exchange workers.

The scheme will make a more transparent payroll system and minimise complaints from foreign exchange workers. The idea has been approved by both government bodies. An engineer has been assigned to the company for the development of the same. When the prototype gets approved it will be launched.

Share with us the survival story of the company during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Well!!! in those days the trade was worst affected in my eyes at least as our work relies completely on international travel to mobilize workers, he replied.

Moreover, the Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs helped the company and launched VANDE BHARAT and Air bubbles to help the foreign employees.

How do you recruit employees from India to work in Saudi Arabia?

"I'm in India, initiated recruitment campaign for MINISTRY OF HRD SAUDI ARABIAWe are interviewing and hiring candidates from all over the country working as counterparts,”

As your company works as a recruiting firm, how is the feeling when you see people getting employed?

Being a medium of providing work to the unemployed and needy, it's a good feeling!! But we don't work for free, since the money is involved I don't consider this as a noble line of work as it may sound, he replied with immense happiness, Mr. Usman responded.

Being 22, we would like to know that are you satisfied with what are you doing?

My life seems much more exciting than it is. I don't get bored or tired of my profession because this is what I love. But I do feel that I've given apart a huge chunk of generic late teen and early 20s fun in my life. Yes, I do travel a lot but see I'm not a huge fan of that. So what might seem fun to others is not fun to me and vice versa.

Establishing a successful business at a very young age throughout the GCC, we request if you can suggest the young growing entrepreneurs that should be kept in mind.

While not being a genetic business person, I can just say...

1.     Keep Believing & Don't Give Up.

2.     The Almighty has destined what you have to do and how much you will achieve... Just Work Hard & Be Honest.

3.     The Real Success Is Peace And Satisfaction.

There are a few lines I would like to share that are in Arabic

Fa inna ma'al usri yusra

Inna ma'al usri yusra

That translates to,

Yes, Indeed with hardship is the ease

Indeed hardship is eased.
