Young kabaddi player of Punjab shot dead

Body thrown outside his house

In the Punjabi district of Kapurthala, a kabaddi player is said to have been shot and killed recently. After the athlete's chopped body parts were reportedly put in front of the home of the deceased Kabaddi player, the incident gained attention.

The incident has received a stern condemnation from Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Sukhbir Singh Badal. A SAD leader criticized Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and his government, accusing Punjab of having a "jungle raj"

Regarding the event, Badal urged CM Mann to resign.

"Shocked to hear about the horrible murder of a young Kabaddi player in vill Dhilwan in Kapurthala. They knocked on the door and said to the parents, "Aah maar ditta tuhada Sher putt," displaying the murderers' level of courage. It's not just this one instance. The SAD leader posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, that Punjab is experiencing a complete Jungle Raj and that homicides, looting, snatchings, and robberies are becoming routine occurrences.

It has been established that @BhagwantMann cannot control the situation, he continued. With immediate effect, he should resign.

There haven't been any arrests in the case as of yet, according to reports in the meanwhile.
