Zelensky claims, ‘Ukraine shopping centre was an act of terror’

President Volodymyr Zelensky denounces the missile strike on Ukrainian Malls

According to Zelensky, during the attack that took place in the shopping Centre in Kremenchuk, approximately 1000 people were present.

And about 18 people died on spot and 59 were heavily wounded, according to the Ukrainian regional governor.

Authorities have said that the accurate figures of total dead and injured are yet to be confirmed.

President Zelensky condemned Russia actions in a telegram post that the number of people that were injured and killed in the attack were ‘unimaginable’ and that the civilians posed no threat to the Russian army and the attack had no strategic value. He profusely criticised Russia of harming and sabotaging any opportunities for the Ukrainian people to lead a normal life. He even quoted that “It is impossible to hope for humanity and decency on Russia’s part as it continues to harm ordinary innocent civilians”.

Along with Zelensky, Mayor Vitaliy Maletskiy took upon social media to criticise the actions as he pointed out that the area was heavily crowded and had no links with the armed forces. He accused Russian of destroying the last stronghold land in eastern Ukraine Luhansk province, by pouring fire from air.

World leaders agree with Zelensky’s condemnation as G7 leaders in a meeting in Germany described the Russian actions as ‘abominable’. The meeting concluded that such attacks of indiscrimination of innocent civilians are counted as war crime and that Vladimir Putin should be held accountable.

Western leaders have even pledged to deliver military support to Ukraine including anti drone systems.

Russia’s missile strike has led the world down again and the Global leaders along with Zelensky constitute it as a war crime.
