1,033 New COVID-19 Cases, 43 Deaths In India In Last 24 Hours

Daily positivity rate was recorded as 0.23 per cent!


New Delhi: India reported 1,033 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, taking the coronavirus tally to 4, 30, and 31,958. According to the Union Health Ministry data, the country's active cases are currently at over 11,000 cases so far.

On Thursday, India also saw 43 Covid fatalities which bring the total number of deaths to 5, 21,530.

The ministry said that the active cases comprise 0.03 per cent of the total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate remained at 98.76 per cent.

The daily positivity rate was recorded as 0.23 per cent and the weekly positivity rate was 0.22 per cent, according to the health ministry.

The number of people who have recuperated from the disease surged to 4, 24, and 97,567.

185.20 crore vaccine doses have been administered so far under the nationwide vaccination drive in India.

1,222 recoveries recorded in the last 24 hours increase total recoveries to 4, 24, and 98,789 so far.

Total of 79.25 crore tests conducted so far and 4, 82,039 tests conducted in the last 24 hours.

India’s COVID-19 tally had crossed the 20-lakh mark on August 7, 2020, 30 lakh on August 23, 40 lakh on September 5 and 50 lakh on September 16. It went past 60 lakh on September 28, 70 lakh on October 11, crossed 80 lakh on October 29, 90 lakh on November 20 and surpassed the one-crore mark on December 19.
