100 grams of heroin were seized in Assam

3 people arrested by the Assam police


On Monday, the Radhanagar battalion of the Agartala sector of the Assam Rifles launched a joint operation with Assam police representatives from Patharkandi police station and seized more than 100 grams of heroin that cost around Rs. 50 lakhs from Karimganj District in Assam.

 

As per the official statement, in the joint operation by the Assam rifles that comes under the aegis of HQ IGAR (E) and Patharkandi police station, they have seized grade 1 heroin and arrested three people in the case.

 

They further added that the three people were apprehended with 123 grams of heroin and Rs. 17,900 in cash from the Hathkula area of Karimganj District.

 

Further investigation in the matter is underway.
