10th class Students were chased down and stabbed in Mayur Vihar

 New Delhi: Horrifying incident took place on the streets of the national capital. Four 10th standard students were chased down and stabbed outside a school in East Delhi on Saturday in a brutal knife attack that left the teenagers critically injured, said the police.

The students were from Sarvodaya Bal Vidyalaya, located in East Delhi's Mayur Vihar area, appearing for their class 10 examination.  the students were leaving the school premises when they were chased down and attacked by a group of boys from a different school, who came after them with knives.

The 10th class students just given their exams were witnesses to the scene. School students close by reported that to save themselves the students ran towards a nearby park with the perpetrators fast on their heels when the four were caught and stabbed.

The injured teens were identified as Gautam, Rehan, Faizan and Ayush. Those teens were the student of  Government Boys Senior Secondary School Trilokpuri. Four of them went to Sarvodaya Bal Vidyalaya to appear for their Term 1 examination.

Following the incident, other students near the site of the crime rushed the four boys to Delhi's Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital. Witnesses report that, at the time, the boys had lost a fair amount of blood.

In the ensuing chaos outside the government school, anguished cries were heard from the mother of one of the students wounded in the stabbing, as Pandav Nagar police arrived on site. Traces of blood were found by the police at many places in the park.

According to the District Commissioner of Police (DCP), said that  Pandav Nagar police station had received three separate calls regarding a fight breaking out between boys at a school. When they reached the scene, the Delhi police found that four minors were under treatment for serious injuries inflicted upon them.

DCP also added, three of the boys have been discharged after being treated at Lal Bahadur Shastri hospital, while one is still undergoing medical treatment in the trauma centre at AIIMS, Delhi.

Further investigation into the knife attack is currently underway, with CCTV footage in the nearby area being scanned by the police to determine who the perpetrators are. A further police enquiry has revealed that the attackers are students at R.S. Bal Vidyalaya.
