13 tourists were caught with fake RT-PCR report in Dehradun: Uttarakhand Police. These tourists were arrested in the Clement Town area. It also said that 4 people were accused of making fake documents and registered cases. Meanwhile, they also said that 100 RT-PCR negative reports have been detected till now.

Covid-19 cases are declining however people are flouting Covid-19 appropriate behaviour and  rushing towards hill stations. Meanwhile, a few days back visuals went viral over social media showcasing large numbers of crowds in hill stations. Afterwards, the Uttarakhand Government made Covid report mandatory for the travellers arriving in the state. After which 13 tourists were caught with fake RT-PCR reports in Dehradun. According to the statement given by Uttarakhand police, it said on Thursday they have caught 13 tourists who came to Dehradun with a fake RT-PCR report.

According to ANI, these tourists were arrested in the Clement Town area. It also said that 4 people were accused of making fake documents and registered cases. Meanwhile, they also said that 100 RT-PCR negative reports have been detected till now.

The Uttarakhand Government has made RT-PCR mandatory again and not older than 72 hours before the arrival. Whereas the police have also increased surveillance and set up check posts at border points to catch the violators. Last week around 8,000 people headed to Mussoorie and Nainital were sent back by the Uttarakhand Police.
