197 cases of black fungus were reported in Delhi

Dedicated Treatment Centre to be set up for treatment


In the country's capital Delhi, black fungal cases are increasing. Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain has informed that so far 197 cases of black fungus have been reported in Delhi. At the same time, in view of the increasing patients of black fungus, the Delhi government has decided to set up three dedicated treatment centers. These centers will be made Loknayak, GTB and Rajiv Gandhi Super Specialty. Along with this, the public will also be made aware to prevent this disease.

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal held a high-level meeting at the camp office on Thursday. Many important decisions were made regarding prevention of black fungus and treatment of patients. In this, the Chief Minister said that more cases of black fungus could come in the capital. In such a situation, adequate medicines should be arranged for the treatment of this disease. Along with this, Loknayak, GTB and Rajiv Gandhi Hospital also directed to form a team of doctors for the treatment of patients of black fungus. This team will monitor patients at their respective centers. The team will consist of other specialist doctors including ENT. Delhi has got the quota of medicines for the treatment of black fungus from the central government. The Chief Minister has also given instructions to get it as soon as possible.

Along with issuing guidelines to make people aware of this disease, a campaign will be launched about its prevention and treatment. Doctors say that the medicine should not be taken without doctor's advice if symptoms of black fungus appear. Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, Health Minister Satyendra Jain, Chief Secretary, Health Department officials and several senior doctors were present in the meeting.
