India records Lowest Cases In Nearly Two Years!


On Monday, India reported 2,503 new cases of Covid-19 and 27 deaths in the last 24 hours. This brought the total number of cases in the country to 4, 29, and 93,494. The total reported fatalities due to Covid-19 now stands at 5, 15,877.

The number of active cases stands at 36,168 with a 98.72% recovery rate. The number of recoveries over the last 24 hours is 4,377 total at 4, 24, 41,449 recoveries.

The number of vaccinations administered under the nationwide vaccination drive stands at 1,80,19,45,779.

Maharashtra takes up the top spot for the highest number of confirmed cases recorded in the country, followed by Kerala and Tamil Nadu.

A study conducted by IIT Kanpur says there is a possibility that the fourth wave in India may occur in June.
