4,000 Covid Cases In India In 24 Hours

National Covid-19 recovery rate increased to 98.71 per cent!


New Delhi: On Tuesday, India reported 4,043 new Covid cases, taking the total number of infections to 4,45,43,089.

The active cases declined to 47,379, according to the Union Health Ministry data.

The death count reached to 5,28,370 with 15 fatalities in the last 24 hours.

The active cases comprise 0.11 per cent of the total infections, while the national Covid-19 recovery rate increased to 98.71 per cent, the ministry said.

A decline of 648 cases has been recorded in the active Corona virus infection in a span of 24 hours. The daily positivity rate was recorded at 1.37 per cent while the weekly positivity rate was 1.81 per cent, according to the Health ministry.

On Tuesday, Delhi recorded 81 fresh Covid cases with a positivity rate of 0.82 per cent and one more death due to the infection, according to the city health department data.

The new cases were detected from 9,865 tests conducted on Monday, the department said in its latest bulletin.

Delhi on Sunday recorded 95 fresh COVID-19 cases with a positivity rate of 0.97 per cent and one fatality due to the infection.

With the new cases, Delhi's covid-19 tally reached to 20,02,572, while the death toll increased to 26,500, it said.

Covid-19 cases in Delhi have registered decline in active cases in the last several days.

On Saturday, the city logged 89 cases with a positivity rate of 0.88 per cent and one death.
