4,184 New Covid Cases In India In Last 24 Hours

Country's active caseload stands at 44,488


New Delhi: On Thursday, India reported at least 4,184 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of coronavirus infections to 4, 29, and 80,067.

According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, India also reported 104 Covid-related fatalities, taking the death tally to 5, 15,459.

Government data said that, the country's active caseload currently stands at 44,488 and accounts for 0.10 per cent of the total cases.

The recovery rate of those infected with the virus is recently at 98.70. 6,554 recoveries were reported in the last 24 hours. The total recoveries have reached 4, 24, and 20,120.

On Friday, Airlines and airports called for an end to pandemic measures for European domestic flights as most countries in the region begin to relax requirements to present proof of vaccination and wear masks.

"As European countries open up and remove restrictions, it is only logical to remove similar restrictions from air transport," said a joint statement from ACI Europe and IATA.

On Thursday, India Recorded 4,575 New Covid Cases, 14.5% Higher Than the previous days. The daily COVID-19 cases remained less than one lakh for 31 consecutive days, and it was the third straight day the new case count has been under 5,000 cases.

With 145 fresh fatalities, the death count climbed to 5, 15,355. Of the new deaths, 100 were added as backlog in Kerala.
