5 bogies of Satyagrah Express Detached!

No injury to the passengers...

On 2 February 2023, 5 bogies of the Satyagraha express detached from the engine in Bihar that was going to New Delhi from Bihar Raxaul district. The incident happened at Majhaulia station at Muzaffarpur- Narkatiaganj and triggered panic among passengers.

The east center railways officer rushed to the spot and reattached the bogies and no passenger faced any injuries.

As per the official information received the incident happened due to the mal functioning of the coupling that is used to connect two bogies together. The incident happened around 10 Am and the engine travelled several kilometers after it got detached from the bogies.

Following the issue, earlier in December 2022 three bogies detached from a goods train at Tankuppa station in Bihar and happened because of jamming of brakes due to which two trains got cancelled and several got diverted later.
