5 children die after getting trapped inside grain storage container

According to police, the children jumped into the container but it accidentally got closed and left the children trapped inside.

In a tragic incident, five children died after they jumped into a grain storage container while playing and got suffocated at Himmatasar village in Bikaner district of Rajasthan on Sunday, police said. According to police, while the children were playing, they jumped into the container one after another as it was almost empty. Accidentally, the container got closed and the children were trapped inside.

Senior police official Priti Chandra said Sevaram (4), Ravina (7), Radha (5), Poonam (8) and Mali were rushed to a government hospital but the doctors declared them brought dead. "When the mother of the children came home, she did not find them. During the search for them, she opened the container and found them inside it," she said. Meanwhile, Chief Minister of Rajasthan Ashok Gehlot condoled the deaths of the children.
