6,594 New Covid-19 Cases In India In 24 Hours

Active Covid caseload currently stands at 50,548!


New Delhi: On Tuesday, India has recorded 6,594 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, bringing the COVID-19 tally to 4,32,36,695.

India's active COVID-19 caseload currently stands at 50,548, the Health Ministry said.

With 4,035 recoveries in the last 24 hours, the total recoveries have reached 4,26,61,370.

The daily positivity rate stands at 2.05 per cent while the weekly positivity rate at 2.32 per cent. The national recovery rate was 98.67 per cent. The Covid vaccine doses administered across India have exceeded 195.35 crore.

On Monday, Delhi reported 614 new COVID-19 cases and zero death due to the disease, while the positivity rate increased to 7.06 per cent, according to data shared by the city health department here.

This is the highest positivity rate since May 4 when 7.6 per cent of the people tested turned out Covid positive. Also, this is the fourth consecutive day that Delhi has recorded over 600 cases in a day.

With the new cases reported on Monday, Delhi's COVID-19 cases increased to 19,13,412 and the death toll stands at 26,221, the department said in its latest bulletin.

On Sunday, the capital reported 735 new COVID-19 cases and three deaths due to the disease, while the positivity rate had risen to 4.35 per cent. On Saturday reported 795 COVID-19 cases with a positivity rate of 4.11 per cent and zero death.
