6 Covid Positive In Indore After travel History

Total number of cases reached to 12


Six more international travelers have been tested positive for COVID-19 upon arrival in MP's Indore, taking the total number of cases to 12 in the city since December 1.

 

The samples of the patients tested positive have been sent for genome sequencing.

 

On Monday, Indore Chief Medical Health Officer (CMHO) Dr Bhure Singh Setia said, "Six more international travelers have tested positive for COVID-19 upon arrival in Indore."

 

Dr Setia informed, out of the 6, two passengers came from Tanzania, two from the USA, one from UAE and one passenger was from Ghana.

 

"All these foreign returnees are being treated. Before this, there were six international travelers who were found positive, out of which two children from Nigeria have been discharged after complete recovery," he added.

 

Dr Setia said, the samples of the 12 passengers have been sent to the testing lab in Delhi for genome sequencing. He further added that the reports are yet to come.
