The father of a student found coronavirus positive


Mumbai: In Mumbai, eighteen students have tested positive for covid-19 in a school after a student was found infected with the virus. After this, testing on a large scale has been initiated at the school.

 

The father of the student who was initially found positive had recently returned from Qatar, following which the entire family went for the virus test. Though the man’s sample was negative his son was found positive.

 

After that, several students in the school were tested on December 13 and seven of them were found positive. Later, about 650 students underwent the virus test and in total 18 were found positive, including the previous cases.

 

Mass testing is going on at the school amid such a high number of cases among the students.

 

 

On Friday, Maharashtra reported 902 new COVID-19 cases and eight infections of the new Omicron variant. Six of the new variant cases were found in Pune.
