Active Caseload At 9,092…
New Delhi: On Friday, 19 May 2023, India registered 865 new Covid-19 cases, while the active cases have reduced to 9,092 from 10,179, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated at 8 AM.
The death count has increased to 5,31,818 with four deaths which includes one from Kerala, the data updated.
The Covid case tally was recorded at 4.49 crore (4,49,84,923). The active cases now comprise 0.02 percent of the total infections, while the nation’s Covid recovery rate has been recorded at 98.79 percent, the ministry said.
The number of people recuperating from the disease surged to 4,44,44,013 and the case fatality rate was recorded at 1.18 per cent.
According to the Health Ministry's website, 220.66 crore doses of Covid vaccine have been administered in India under the nationwide vaccination drive so far.
