90% of beneficiaries vaccinated with the first dose in Karnataka

Vaccination drives are speeding up in several states


Around 90 percent of the eligible beneficiaries are vaccinated with one dose of Covid vaccine in Karnataka. 

According to the statement, given by the Karnataka health department, it said, More than 90 percent of eligible beneficiaries in Karnataka have taken at least the first dose of the Covid vaccine, adding more it said, the figure was achieved after more than 857,000 doses were administered on November 24. The state’s vaccination coverage on Wednesday was the third-highest in the country, after Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh, the health department further said.

 

According to the statement given by the Department of Health and Family Welfare Services reported citing data from the Union government’s CoWin vaccination portal said," state achieves milestone of vaccinating more than 90% eligible beneficiaries (above 18 years) with at least one dose of Covid-19 vaccine. First dose coverage: 44,026,923 out of estimated 48,916,000 18+ population."

 

Covid-19 vaccination is speeding up in several states. Many campaigns, as well as initiatives, are run by the respective state government to complete the inoculation target of the states. Home vaccination, door-to-door campaign, vaccination on wheels are some campaigns implemented in several states. 

 

India has also achieved its target of inoculating the population with 100 crore vaccination doses of Covid. The state government is working well to complete their respective target.
