99% of Mumbai vaccinated at least once: BMC

Covid-19 vaccination drive is speeding up in many other states


On Wednesday, according to Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) data, around 99 per cent of the city's eligible population was vaccinated at least once. 

According to the statement, BMC said, "So far, a total of 9,204,950 beneficiaries have been given with the first dose of which 5,862,933 beneficiaries have received both doses of Covid-19 vaccine. adding more it said, 99 per cent of the city is vaccinated at least with one dose of Covid-19 vaccine."

 

Covid-19 vaccination is speeding up in several states. State and union territories are ramping up the vaccination drive. Many states have completed their inoculation target and achieved milestones. 

 

The vaccination process began first on January 16 for the Healthcare workers, after on 5 February for frontline workers and population it started for 60 years from the march and April for 45  years age group and 18 plus began on May May Maharashtra state was worst with Covid-19 hit cases. The state was among the worst-hit states with deadly viruses.
