AAP Announces 300 Units of Free Power To Every Punjab Home

Free Electricity From July 1

On Saturday, The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Punjab today announced 300 units of free power to every household. As per the information, every house will be benefited from this service from July 1. 

According to the state's information and public relations department, the announcement comes as the Bhagwant Mann-led government in the state completed one month in the office today. Indicating that the Punjab government could make the announcement this week, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Tuesday said he will soon give "good news" to the people of the state.

According to the Tweet, Bhagwant Maan wrote," Had a wonderful meeting with our leader and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal. Very soon, will give good news to the people of Punjab," said Mr. Mann a tweet.

There are many people in villages who got "wrong" bills and their power connections were cut because of the non-payment and such people resorted to stealing power.

During the assembly elections polling, and providing free electricity in the Punjab state was the major focusing element in their manifesto. The promises were made in view to provide free units.  

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) wins the assembly elections in Punjab whereas the results were declared on March 10. The Congress, which was in power in the state, got 18 seats in the 117-member assembly, while the AAP won 92 seats.

The Punjab state has seen a worsening situation in all terms. The state was under severe issues and major problems for which the AAP government made promises to fulfill the requirement. From education to school to home to electricity the promises were made.
