According to Shiv Sena Urmila Matondkar might Join the Party Tomorrow

Urmila Matondkar set to join Shiv Sena


Actress turned politician Urmila Matondkar contested for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections as a candidate from the Indian National Congress (INC) party which she later quit, is now all set to join Shiv Sena on Tuesday according to a party official.

On Sunday Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s close adviser Harshal Pradhan said that Ms Matondkar will be joining the party in the presence of the state’s CM. Her name has been promoted to the Governor of Maharashtra BS Koshyari by the Shiv Sena for nomination to the Legislative Council via Governor’s quota. The governor is yet to approve the list of 12 names.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections Ms Matondkar contested unsuccessfully from the Mumbai North constituency as a candidate of the Congress party . The actress however later quit the party over the functioning of the Mumbai unit of the INC.

Urmila was recently seen criticizing actress Kangana Ranaut openly for calling Mumbai equivalent to Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) and also called her out on the issue of nepotism in Bollywood.
