Active Covid Cases Reduced To 2,555

The case fatality rate is at 1.18 percent…

New Delhi: On Friday, 09 June 2023, India registered 169 new Covid-19 infections.

While the active cases have reduced to 2,555 from 2,687, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated at 8 am.

The death count remained at 5,31,888, with two deaths reported in the last 24 hours, the Health Ministry data updated.

The Covid case tally was recorded at 4.49 crore (4,49,92,462).

Now, the Health Ministry said the active cases comprise 0.01 percent of the total infections and the national coronavirus recovery rate has been recorded at 98.81 percent.

The number of people who recuperated from the disease surged to 4,44,58,019 and the case fatality rate was recorded at 1.18 percent.

According to the Health Ministry's website data, 220.66 crore doses of the Covid-19 vaccine have been administered in the country under the nationwide vaccination drive so far.
