Antibodies against corona in 56% of Delhi's population revealed in sero-survey

This means that so many people have recovered from Corona themselves, experts said - we are close to herd immunity

Antibodies against corona have been found in 56 percent of people in Delhi. Meaning these are the people who got corona and did not even know and they were cured. Now their body naturally has antibodies against this virus. Antibodies against corona have been made in more than half the population of Delhi so far. That is, immunity against this virus has been found in more than one crore people. This has been revealed in Delhi's fifth sero survey conducted by Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC). Earlier, antibodies were found in 30 percent more people than the fourth sero survey. On the basis of this sero surveillance, it can be said that Delhi has come close to herd immunity and that is the reason why the cases of Covid are coming down in Delhi.

This fifth sero survey conducted by MMAC has examined the highest number of 28 thousand samples so far. One hundred samples were taken from all 280 wards. It was investigated at the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences. In sero surveillance 56.13% of the samples were found to be antibody positive. This is the largest report so far, not only is the sample size very large, but the report is very positive, because the report of the last two sero surveys in Delhi was not satisfactory.

This time there is a better report than expected. Experts say that this is a very large number, indicating that a large population of Delhi came in contact with Corona and recovered. They are not even aware and they already have a protective cover against the virus. Covid Expert Dr. Anshuman Kumar said that now definitely Delhi is moving towards herd immunity. This is 56 percent of antibodies around November-December.
