Argentine DJ denies infecting Messi with Covid-19 after receiving death threats

Fer Palacio posted his negative Covid-19 result online

Argentine DJ Fer Palacio has denied the accusations that he infected Lionel Messi with Covid-19.

PSG on Sunday confirmed that Messi is among the four club players that have tested positive for Covid-19.

Messi spent the Christmas break in his native Rosario and attended several parties, including the one at which DJ Fer Palacio was invited to perform as a disc jockey.

Fer Palacio who had attended several parties in previous days said in a video on Sunday that he has received death threats and insults on social media by people who believe he was responsible for Messi getting the virus.

The DJ said on his Instagram on Sunday: “I’ve just got up and seen I’ve got a lot of messages and am trending on social media because Messi tested positive for Covid and people are saying I gave it to him.

“I’ve got loads of private messages and people have even gone as far as calling me an assassin.

“I had done a Covid test yesterday because I have to travel to Uruguay tomorrow and I haven’t got Covid. I’ll show you all now.”

He finished his selfie video by blowing a kiss to all those who were “insulting him” before posting his negative PCR test.

Fer Palacio posted a photograph with Messi last week and wrote “I got the greatest to dance. Thanks to all the Messi family for the invitation.”

The PSG star is currently in isolation and will return to Paris after he tests negative, said Mauricio Pochettino.
