Arunachal Pradesh Turns Corona Free, Active Cases Hit Zero

Arunachal Pradesh now turns to a corona free state


A health official said on Sunday, Arunachal Pradesh became a corona free state with just three active cases recovering from the disease. The total number of cases that occurred in this northeastern state remained at 16,836 while the total number of recoveries stood at 16,780.

“No fresh cases were reported in the past 24 hours and so far a total number of 56 people have died due to the contagious virus in the state” said Lobsang Jampa the state Surveillance Officer. Arunachal Pradesh’s recovery rate and positivity rate are at 99.66 per cent respectively. Jampa said, altogether 4,05,647 samples have been tested and on Saturday a total of 312 sample were tested.

Dimong Padung the State Immunization Officer (SIO) said, so far 32,325 heath workers and front line workers have received vaccination shots in the state. The health departments have been carrying out the inoculation drive four days a week- Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
