Bade Miyan Chote Miyan's day 2 box office collection nears Rs. 25 crores

The film continues to draw audiences, inching closer to a significant milestone...

Bade Miyan Chote Miyan experienced a decline in box office earnings on its opening Friday in New Delhi. By the second day, the film, starring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff and directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, garnered Rs 7 crore across all languages, as reported by Sacnilk. Cumulatively, the movie has amassed Rs 22.65 crore thus far.

Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, released in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi, showcases a diverse cast including Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Disha Patani, Manushi Chillar, and Prithviraj Sukumaran in significant roles. The film is produced by Ali Abbas Zafar and Jackky Bhagnani.

Just days before the release of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Akshay Kumar teased fans with action-packed snippets on Instagram. The video showcased Akshay and Tiger Shroff in a gripping fight sequence, ending with a voice declaring, "The game has just begun."

Akshay Kumar captioned the post, "Ready for action-packed entertainment? #BadeMiyanChoteMiyan is coming in just 2 days. Booking open now: Link In Bio. Experience it in 3D and IMAX IN CINEMAS this Thursday, 11th April!"

In his review for NDTV, film critic Saibal Chatterjee expressed that Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, directed and co-written by Ali Abbas Zafar, is filled with intense action sequences.

However, he noted that the film suffers from an abundance of loud and flashy set pieces, leaving little space for other elements. Chatterjee described the film as a collection of clones, clichés, and cacophony, where each element competes to stand out amidst the overwhelming excess.

Saibal Chatterjee added that in Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Akshay Kumar's character, Captain Firoz alias Freddy, briefly goes meta by acknowledging his status as the elder player in the game.

"Iss khel ke sabse purane khiladi hum hain (I am the oldest player in this game)," he says to the antagonist, a rogue scientist-entrepreneur portrayed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, during their confrontation.

Chatterjee remarked that Freddy's statement holds truth, as the "khiladi" persona has become outdated and worn out, lacking relevance in contemporary times.

Bade Miyan Chote Miyan signifies the inaugural on-screen partnership between Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff.
