BCCI President Sourav Ganguly announces Rs 5 crore for Team India

Sourav Ganguly announced Rs 5 crore on the remarkable win of the Indian Team in Brisbane Test Series.


India's historic triumph over Australia in the Test series in Gabba in Brisbane left everyone spellbound. The BCCI President Sourav Ganguly, announced Rs 5 crore bonus for the Indian cricket team who clinched the series 2-1 and retained the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Ajinkya Rahane led team won the fourth and final Test against Australia by scoring the target 328-run.

BCCI President Sourav Ganguly and Secretary Jay Shetty tweeted about the bonus and congratulated the players on their win. "Just a remarkable win...To go to Australia and win a test series in this way... will be remembered in the history of Indian cricket forever...Bcci announced a 5 cr bonus for the team ..The value of this win is beyond any number ..well done to every member of the touring party," Ganguly tweeted.

Rishabh Pant remained unbeaten at 89 and also made a maximum of 274 runs in the five innings that he played. In the bowling department, Mohammad Siraj and Shardul Thakur took 9 wickets in the last Test to unturn the events and lead to victory. Siraj took maximum wickets in the three Tests that is a total of 13. India triumphed the series and defeated the Aussies in their fortress after 32 long years.
