Bihar Health Department Target to Give Covid-19 Vaccine Shots To 1 Lakh Women on International Women’s Day.

Aim to apply Covid-19 vaccine to one lakh women. Bihar Health Department prepared special arrangements on the occasion of International Women's Day. A Special awareness campaign started regarding vaccination. Vaccination of women beneficiaries will be done on a priority basis.


Nodal officer of Covid in AIIMS Patna told that posters and banners have been put up in the hospital to motivate women for vaccination. On International Women's Day, we will vaccinate women beneficiaries on a priority basis. Special seating arrangements have been made for them.

Special events are being organized across the country on the occasion of Patna International Women's Day. The Bihar Health Department has set a target of applying Covid-19 Vaccination to one lakh women on this occasion. A special awareness campaign has been launched for this. Along with this, special arrangements have been made for vaccination for women at all the vaccine centers on 8 March. Superintendent of Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (IGIMS) Patna, Dr. Manish Mandal said that 97-year-old Bhagyamani Mandal will take the first shot of the vaccine in the hospital on Monday. She is the wife of the late Justice RP Mandal and the mother of Justice KK Mandal. Manish Mandal said that Bhagyamani Mandal is by far the oldest registered beneficiary in vaccination in Bihar.

Dr. Manish Mandal said that special preparations have been made for the vaccination of women on March 8 at IGIMS. The hospital will have a special separate vaccine unit. It will be decorated with balloons. All the health officers in the unit will be women. The female beneficiaries will be given a red rose upon their arrival. Superintendent of Nalanda Medical College and Hospital, Dr. Binod Kumar Singh said that vaccination of women in two vaccine units in the hospital will be done through all women employees. We have hired four e-rickshaws for the women beneficiaries coming to get the vaccine so that they can be taken from the main entry gate of the hospital to the vaccine unit. These women will be honored after vaccination. Dr. Singh informed that several awareness camps have been organized in different areas to encourage elderly women. People between the ages of 45 and 59 have also been encouraged to take vaccine shots.
