Nurse carelessly gave double dose of covid-19 vaccine
A shocking incident, took place in Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur where a nurse at the Mandauli Primary Health centre while talking on call gave a double dose of covid19 vaccine to a woman. This incident was reported on Thursday when the vaccination drive was being conducted at the primary health centre in Mandauli Village of Kanpur. Where the women, Kamlesh kumari went to take the shot and got double doses. This created havoc in the centre and Incharge informed the higher official about the matter.
As per the report, this double dose of covid-19 vaccine was given by, Auxiliary nurse midwife(ANM), Archana kumari who gave the shot to the women. while women alleged that she had swelling in her hand and also experienced pain after the jab. Meanwhile, when the woman inquired about the two injections, the nurse reprimanded instead of apologising. A Complaint has been filed regarding the incident to the chief medical officer and the victim has demanded action against such carelessness and an investigation has been initiated in this regard.
According to the report, In Uttar Pradesh around 5,99,045 people have become free of covid 19 infections.
