The traders 'association said in a statement, "Lockdown' should be imposed for 15 days in Delhi with immediate effect." CAIT also said that there should be stringent measures to check Covid-19 at airports, railway stations, bus bases and all border areas in Delhi to ensure that Coronavirus affected persons do not enter the national capital.

Corona has caused havoc in Delhi. In the last 24 hours, 25462 new cases of Corona have come and 161 patients have died. According to government figures, 85620 tests were conducted in the city in the last 24 hours. The positivity rate in the city has increased to 29.74. During this time, 20159 patients have managed to recover from this disease. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi stating ICU beds and lack of oxygen in hospitals due to rising corona patients and sought his help.
