Call Night curfew as "Corona Curfew" to spread Covid-19 awareness


Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday held a meeting with the Chief Minister of states and Union Territories (UT). This meeting was held mainly to discuss the Coronavirus pandemic situation and ongoing vaccination drive. While addressing via video conferencing PM Modi focused on' Night curfew' and called it  "Corona Curfew". While interacting with the CM's , PM Modi said that, Wherever night curfew is in place, there is a phrase"Corona Curfew" that should be used to be aware people.

He also dismissed the "intellectual debate" about Coronavirus only affecting at night and said such curfew helps in spreading awareness about the deadly virus with minimal impact on the daily lives of people.The Prime Minister said that it would be better than Corona curfew starts at 9 pm or 10 pm and goes on till 5 am or 6 am so that other activities are not affected.

PM Modi has also rejected the opposition ruled states demand regarding vaccination process for all above 18 years, defending the current eligibility criteria of vaccination for all 45 years, he said, "India's criteria are no different from most prosperous countries in the world and it will have to prioritise the vaccination ".
