Canada extends flights ban from India till August 21.The ban on flights from India is mainly over the concerns of the Delta Variant causing fresh Spikes in Covid-19 cases in the Countries.


Covid-19 cases in India are increasing whereas fear of other Delta Variant cases is quite concerning. Meanwhile, it is predicted that the third wave may impact children more as Mizoram reports more than 100 cases of Covid-19 in Children.Talking about travel, flights and other modes of transportation from abroad, Canada has extended its ban on flights for India till another month August 21. 

According to the statement, On Tuesday The Government of Canada said it is extending its flight ban from India till August 21 over fears of the Delta  Variant of Covid-19 spreading. According to Canadian Transport Minister, Omar Alghabra, the ban on flights from India is mainly over the concerns of the Delta Variant causing fresh Spikes in Covid-19 cases in the Countries. He also said, "While progress is being made, the situation in India is still very serious." The decision is based on the advice received from the Public Health Agency of Canada and will best protect Canadians from the increased introduction of the Delta Variant., which is prevalent in India." Whereas earlier Canada had extended its ban on flights in April when the Covid-19 cases were at their peak in India.
