Centre to hold a review meeting with states, UTs

Meeting over new Variant "Omicron"


On Tuesday, Union Health secretary Rajesh Bhushan will hold a review meeting with all the states and union territories.
 
The meeting will be on the New COVID variant "Omicron." As per the information, the meeting will take place today at 10:30 am. As per the information, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing, urged the citizens to remain vigilant and said the centre’s priority is their good health.
 
According to the statement, the centre on Monday also said, no cases of the omicron variant have been detected in the country at present but pointed out that two clusters in Maharashtra and Karnataka are under investigation.
 
The omicron cases are spreading their wings in other countries. The other countries have also imposed it. A travel bans and issued fresh guidelines because of rising cases of omicron. The cases are speeding up in South Africa, Australia has witnessed two cases so far. Many other countries are worried and are taking their decision. Meanwhile in India, few states have imposed their fresh guidelines and travel guidelines. Goa, Delhi, and other states will also hold a review meeting today to discuss the omicron scenario. Also, few other states including Madhya Pradesh have imposed strict checking at the airport for foreign tourist arrivals.
 
The cases of Omicron are worrying as the world health organization called it a "variant of concern" which is a matter of concern. India has already witnessed a harsh hit of deadly coronavirus before. Also, preparation and arrangements of beds and hospitals are speeding up in case of any emergency.
