Complete Lockdown In Tamil Nadu on January 16

New Guidelines ahead of Pongal


On Monday, the Tamil Nadu Government imposed a complete lockdown in the state to curb the Covid cases. The Covid cases are crossing peaks. Around 62,700 cases were reported in the state.


As per the information, the Restrictions will be informed till January 31. The Night curfew will take place from 10 pm to 5 am all worship places are to be closed in the state till January 14 to 18.  Full lockdown on January 16. Only 75 percent occupancy in outstation buses operating ahead of Pongal festivals.


According to the information, the order read, Only 50% occupancy will be permitted in the hotel, lodge, restaurant, clothes, jewellery shops, gym, yoga Centre. Cinema hall all entertainment and amusement park to be remain shut in the states. Government and private celebratory events of Pongal festivals are cancelled. All colleges other than Medical and Pharma medical colleges have been asked to remain closed. Bus and metro, local trains to accommodate only 50% capacity.


Restrictions have been imposed ahead of Pongal festivals in the state. The Covid cases are speeding up. Many states have imposed restrictions and guidelines to curb the spread of omicron and Covid-19 in the state.
