Congress's top leaders in Karnataka…

New Delhi: On Saturday, 13 May 2023, In the Congress's grand win celebrations in Karnataka, the only issue could be the looming Siddaramaiah versus DK Shivakumar fight for the CM's position.

Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar are the party’s top leaders in Karnataka, one is a former chief minister, and the other, is the state Congress chief.

"We expect Congress will win more than 120 seats," he said.

His son Yathindra Siddaramaiah said his father should be CM "for the betterment of the state”.

"We will do all possible things to keep Bhartiya Janta Party out of the race.

For the better future of Karnataka, my father should become CM," Yathindra Siddaramaiah told news agency ANI.

"As a son, definitely I would like to see him as a chief minister. But as a resident of the state, his last regime saw good governance.

This time also, if he becomes Chief Minister, the corruption of the BJP rule will be eliminated by him.

In the interest of the State also, he should become Chief Minister," said Siddaramaiah Junior.

He was first elected to the Karnataka assembly in 1983.

In 1994, Siddaramaiah became Deputy CM of the state as part of a Janata Dal government.
