Congress's Bharat Jodo Yatra Resumes

Sonia Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi to join the yatra!


On Saturday, 24 September 2022, Congress's Bharat Jodo Yatra entered its 17th day as Congress leader Rahul Gandhi resumed the yatra from Perambra after a day's rest.

The march resumed around 6.30 am and he was joined by hundreds of party workers in the march. The morning leg of the march will conclude at Amballur junction after covering 12 km.

The yatra will again resume from Talore Bypass junction at 5 pm to reach the south gate of Thissur Vadakkumnathan temple.

"Workers and people of Thrissur come out in large numbers to support Shri @RahulGandhi and all the Padyatris as #BharatJodoYatra resumes after a much deserved break," Congress said in a tweet.

AICC General Secretary, Communications In-charge, Jairam Ramesh tweeted, "After a day of rest, the 17th day of the Bharat Jodo Yatra began around 6:35 am today from Perambra Junction, Thrissur district. The Yatris will walk 12 km this morning."

A medical camp was organised on Friday, on the day of rest, for the participants of the march and the Seva Dal team at Chalakudy.

The padyatra which resumed from Perambra Junction, Thrissur, will stop at Amballur Junction at 10 am for morning breakfast.

The yatra will resume from Talore Bypass junction at 5 pm and will halt for the evening break at Swaraj Round road, Vadakkumnathan South Gate at 7 pm.

The night stay for the padyatris is scheduled at Thope Stadium.
