Corona’s frightening pace in Maharashtra

Corona started growing again in many states of the country including Maharashtra, Kerala. After four months in Maharashtra, more than 8 thousand patients increased in one day. Speed in Mumbai too, many states started taking decisions according to their own.


Corona is not completely over yet, in many states, including Maharashtra, the rising graph of the infection has started giving tension in the last few days. The increase in Covid-19 cases in Maharashtra also continued on Wednesday and around four months later, 8,807 new cases of infection were reported in the state, taking the total number of infected cases to 21,21,119.

Due to the increasing cases in Maharashtra, the West Bengal government on Wednesday made it mandatory for passengers traveling in flights from here to submit a negative report of the coronavirus.

The Maharashtra Health Department said that information on the death of 80 more patients came to light on Wednesday, raising the death toll in the state to 51,937. Covid-19 cases have increased in the state as 6,218 new cases of Covid-19 were reported in the state on Tuesday. Officials said 27 of the 80 deaths occurred in the last 48 hours while 22 deaths occurred last week. The remaining 31 deaths occurred during the period preceding the previous week. 2,772 patients were discharged from hospitals on Wednesday after being cured, leading to an increase of 20,08,623 patients in the state so far. Mumbai city has the highest number of new cases of Covid-19. On Wednesday, 1,167 new cases were reported in Mumbai. 818 and 627 new cases were disclosed in Nagpur district (except Nagpur city) and Amravati city respectively.

Talking about Mumbai alone, 1167 new cases have been reported here and four people lost their lives. BMC has reported that after four months, so many cases have come in one day. Talking about vaccination, 51,315 people were vaccinated in Maharashtra on Wednesday. Officials said that a total of 10 lakh 80 thousand 675 people have been vaccinated with Corona in the state.
