Corona vaccine will be made available free of cost in all Delhi government hospitals. For this, a special package allocation is expected in the upcoming budget.

In fact, the Corona vaccination program is currently being run under the leadership of the central government, under which a priority list has been made and vaccines are being given to those who fit this list. This includes healthcare workers, front-line workers, elderly people above 60 years, and people with comorbidity aged 45–59 years. All these are currently being done free of cost in government hospitals. It is being borne by the Central Government. But if these people are taking the vaccine in a private hospital, then they have to pay 250 rupees in lieu of it.

But sources say that when the vaccination starts for the common people in the coming days, then it will not be free. They may also have to pay for vaccine doses in government hospitals. In such a situation, the Delhi government has already started preparing for it. Sources say that in the next phase, when the vaccination of all healthy people below the age of 60 years will start, then the exemption from the center can be stopped. In such a situation, these people may have to pay for the vaccine dose.

Sources reveal that taking care of the general public of Delhi, Delhi Government has formulated a scheme, under which people of all ages get vaccinated and the Delhi government should bear the expenses. That is, in the coming time, vaccination can be free for the common people in Delhi government hospitals. Sources say that the Delhi government has made preparations for this and it is expected that there should be a provision in the budget as well.
