Indian Health Minister Chairs High-Level Meeting!


With the fluctuating rise and downfall of the Covid-19 cases. The cases are again spreading their wings and other countries are witnessing an incessant rise in the daily tally. This increment in cases has become like a warning for India. 



On Wednesday, A high-level meeting was chaired by Union health minister Mansukh Mandaviya to track India's preparedness and level of alertness as several Asian countries report another surge in Covid-19 cases. India has just started reviving itself from the Omicron-led third wave of the pandemic. The Centre recently announced plans to resume international flights from March 27 after a gap of two years.



According to officials in the health ministry, the Union Health Minister has directed officials for strict compliance in three aspects: A high level of alertness on the case rise, intensified surveillance of infection, and aggressive genome sequencing.



According to the information, the meeting was attended by top doctors, the Health Secretary, Department of Biotechnology (DBT) Secretary, NCDC Chief, and Drug Controller General of India.



As per the information, Countries including China, Hong Kong, Singapore, and South Korea have recently reported a spike in coronavirus infections. While China’s Covid outbreak appears to be slowing down this week, South Korea’s daily new Covid-19 infections reached a record 621,328.



Few more European countries have again re-imposed the Covid led Restrictions in view of the peak in cases and daily tally. Whereas as India is returning to normalcy and on the other hand again a warning like the situation is being showcased.
